This is a new class offering by Claire Shaeffer and was everything I had hoped for and more. A few years ago, I took her "Chanel and That Suit"; this class builds on the knowledge that was learned from the first class. Each day she brought in garments from her private collection that we were able to look at. These garments were also the basis for the class topic(s) of that day. For example, one day we learned to make a trim detail for a jacket by manipulating the fabric to create a one-of-a-kind trim and how to apply it to a jacket sleeve. Another day, she taught us how to take a basic straight skirt pattern and create a Chanel-style wrap skirt. My brain is still exploding from all the information, learning and garment ideas. Now, I just have to decide which project I want to do first.
