Sometimes a pattern will note a corner mark with a dot, but I add them to every intersection. I cannot tell you how useful this is to me to align the pieces perfectly and to judge ahead of time how the seam will need to be eased. The marks are where the seam lines intersect. Since I have been marking this way things just go together the way they should, especially if you are dealing with bias meets straight grain or godet intersections.

	TalyQ said... Yes, that helps a lot. Since I am in Europe I am used to patterns not having seam allowances and so usually I have all the sewing lines marked/or thread traced. When I started working with US patterns that meant that I suddenly had to guess where to stop at corners etc. So your tip really helps. 8/14/12 1:34 AM
