On a yoke seam in Silhouette Patterns #150 I had a stretched seam that would not seeam to "bounce back" when stitched with a regular machine even with changes in tension and longer stitch length; however, when I stitched a similar knit with the chain stitch on a Cover Pro Machine, it laid flat, but allowed for stretch when needed.

So, try the chain stitch in a trial run - it may work for you too!
