I have nice embroidery from Asia with cheap imitation metallic thread that would look better if it didn't sparkle so much. I assume the thread is synthetic of some sort. For sure it is not real metal. Any ideas would be appreciated . I don't know how to test the thread to figure out what it is and it is already in a garment so there is not a lot of room for error. Thanks.

	Lspringston said... Having owned an embroidery shop, I can tell you the thread is made of polyester. So, the best thing to use is fabric dye to get the effect you want. 1/28/13 4:14 PM
