Part 5: in my Pattern Fitting Series, "My Approach to Successful Pattern Fitting". This segment focuses on Seam Allowances and shares the importance of maintaining proper seam allowance in sewing and selecting the right size seam allowance for a particular seam. Seam allowances may not "seem" that important, however if you are working on this fitting series toward a goal of a well fitting pattern, maintaining seam allowance accuracy is very important. By adding just 1/16" to your seam allowance when sewing a princess line pattern could be a loss of 7/8". The point of this segment is to make you aware of seam allowances in a way you may not have thought about before. Hope you find it helpful.
