Web site/URL: Make a Bodice Muslin
I took the Make a Muslin class that was offered at the end of 2005 with Shannon Gifford. I can highly recommend this wonderful class. Shannon is a talented instructor that has a knack for explaining things in a very understandable way. Her writing style is excellent, and her photographs are clear.

I haven't had any experience with fitting before I took this class. I now feel with some practice I can actually fit a blouse or jacket that will fit. I was able to get most of my muslin completed, but I got wrapped up in the stress of the holidays. parties, obligations, etc., and wasn't able to give my full attention. But that is OK, I saved all of the PDF files to my computer, and I am working on a muslin at this very moment with the instructions.

The chats are great. Shannon is very professional and kind, and did not hesitate to give extra tips and answer beginner questions. The class boards are wonderful also--your questions are answered in a timely manner, and I learned so much from the other students.

Don't hesitate to sign up for a class with Shannon. I only had basic skills when I signed up for her first class (Stitch and Flip), and it was pretty easy to follow along. Her classes are better than in person classes I have taken.

Can you tell us a little about what was covered in the class? From the title, sounds like how to cut out and sew the muslin garment, but your words make me think maybe it is more of a class on how to fit. I'm left feeling I know less than before I read the review. Confused!

Very nice review. The class is described well in the PR Class Catalog, and I like that Lori has given us her thoughts and opinion on the actual materials and on Shannon's teaching. A class that will repay all your time and certainly the fee, as I know since I just finished that class this time around! :)
