I took Shannon Gifford's Stitch and Flip jacket class in the Fall of 2005. I can highly recommend this class.
Shannon is a wonderful instructor. Her explanations are clear and concise and so easy to understand, even for a beginner like me. I came into this class with only basic skills. I had sewed simple skirts, dresses, pillows, drapes, and other home-dec projects, but that is about it. I had never set in a sleeve or lined a garment. Granted I chose a very simple jacket that was collarless, but Shannon's instructions made it easy to complete my jacket.
The class boards are wonderful--Shannon is always prompt in answering questions. She has a very professional attitude, but is easy going and fun. She included bonus lessons, and shared her method of setting in a sleeve, which was excellent.
I look forward to more classes with Shannon. It is money well spent. |
