Have you bought anything from this store? If yes were the prices competitive?Very competitive. I routinely shop at Field's Fabrics in Kalamazoo, MI, but wanted to buy a Babylock Sophia2. The store in Kalamazoo doesn't carry sewing machines, but the one in Holland carries a full line of Babylock Sewing Machines, Embroidery Machines, and Sergers. According to Babylock rules I had to go to Holland to pick it up, but it was well worth it. The Sofia2 was on sale for a price that was less then people were asking for used ones on E-bay. I also purchased some Designer fabrics that were on sale for $4.95. They were of the usual high quality that Field's Fabrics carries.
Were the sales people polite and friendly?The sales people were extremely friendly. Between buying the fabric and machine I made contact with three different people. All were very helpful. When I asked where certain fabrics were they took me right over to them. They also advised me if two fabrics would be compatible with a certain pattern. When they sold me the Sofia2 they asked me about bobbins and prewound bobbins, things I hadn't thought about. They also gave me a schedule of when they were giving free classes on operating both the sewing and embroidery part of the machine. The sales people couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful.
How would you rate the quality of the item this store sells?
The same as in the Kalamazoo store-very high. When you consider that they are always having some kind of sale, their fabric is actually less expensive then other fabric stores that carry fabric of lesser quality and little help. One thing I really like about Field's Fabric is that they always have very helpful, knowledgeable sales help. How was your shopping experience. Is there anything you did not like about this store?It was very pleasant and I'm planning to go back not only for the lessions, but I found that the two stores carried diiferent kinds of fabrics. This particular store is different in that it also carries Dutch patterns and fabrics as they have a festival every Spring.
