Have you bought anything from this store? If yes were the prices competitive? I visited this store in person during vacation. I bought some fat quarters, a novelty cotton print and a locally designed quilt block pattern -- Lighthouses of Door County. I thought the prices were reasonable and seemed to be competitive with other quilt stores I visited on my vacation.
Were the sales people polite and friendly? The sales people as well as the other customers in the store were very friendly -- a real small town vibe. People in the store were visiting and sharing their projects and plans. The staff were available to help if you needed it but left you alone to browse to your heart's content -- there were lots of nooks and crannys to search in.
How would you rate the quality of the item this store sells? The fabric quality was top-notch. This is a quilt store with the majority of the fabrics being quilting cottons although there are some other gems to be had. There was a lot of fabric in this store and it required at least a couple of walk throughs just to get a lay of the land.
How was your shopping experience. Is there anything you did not like about this store? Shopping experience was great. I had a limited amount of time to spend in the store and could have easily spent a lot more time browsing and matching fabrics.
Would you shop here again? Yes -- will definitely visit again when we are next visiting the Door Country Peninsula.
Would you recommend this store to others? Highly recommend for the fabric variety and the helpful, knowledgeable staff
Any other comments you would like to add? Barn Door Quilts is apparently the only quilt store left in the Door County Peninsula -- there apparently used to be a lot more. The store is located in the historic downtown area -- if you have the time, park you vehicle and take some time to walk around the downtown area.
