Thank you, I am always looking for just the right notions and though a bit spendy, I agree that things like special coats need proper zippers.

Wow! They have dye in many colors, hard to find twill tape 90+ colors, snap tape, elasticized webbing. The variety is astounding. I would love to bookmark this review on PR.

Pacific Trim is the best. I order their Riri zippers uncut (they're 36" long) and purchase extra Riri zipper pulls (you can buy them separately for about $2 or $3). That way, I can cut them myself and have multiple closed end zippers. Pacific Trim also sells fabulous handbag hardware (not the junky, generic kind you usually see) and all the LaMode/LaPetite buttons). And their shipping costs are extremely reasonable.

nancy, I really want to do this. I can't bring myself to pay $15 for a short zipper. Are there any tricks to it? How do you do the zipper stop?
