This is the commercial site of Beverly Johnson, author of The Bra-Maker's Manual and the Pin-up Girls pattern line of bras. They carry a broad selection of bra-specific materials including low/no stretch cup fabrics, powernet for bands, lingerie elastic, hook and eye tape, and rings and slides. They also carry patterns and materials for undies, activewear and swimwear. They have several kits available for someone who is just getting started and doesn't want to forget anything.
Shipping was fast--about four business days. The company is based in Canada which i assume accounts for its expensive shipping. A small, lightweight book-sized package cost $20 to ship and another approximate $4 in handling. Add to that fact that the prices on the materials themselves are 10-100% more than other U.S. based online stores that carry bra-making materials, and you can see why I'm not too keen on restricting myself to purchasing from them in the future. Elingeria is also outside of the U.S. but has a much more attractive array of fabrics and laces but still the same higher shipping rates. Sew Sassy and Fabric Depot have bra-making materials for significantly lower prices but less selection.
Bottom line is that if you are just learning AND have a large cup size that isn't well served by the more typical bra patterns, Bra-Makers Supply is an excellent place to start to make sure you get everything you need and a great pattern. Once you have a better idea of what you want in the future, or if you will be making quite a few bras and want to lower your per piece expenses, it may be cost effective to search elsewhere.

I went ahead and ordered from Elingeria and purchased the same items with shipping for less than the cost of shipping that Bra Makers charged. I waiting for my order to arrive so I'm unable to comment on service as yet. 3/2/13 6:28 PM
