There doesn't seem to be a review for the Lekala website, so I am adding a link to a blog post I wrote about sewing with Lekala. Most of the template website review questions are addressed there. Others are answered below.
How is the customer service?
I did not need to use their customer service, so I cannot comment on that. They seem chatty and responsive enough, as far as one can judge such things from imperfect English in (PR) forums and so on.
Is this a commercial web site? If yes how are the prices? Do they have a secure shopping cart?
I only used the one purchase option (the password option), which involves a third party, Softkey. They have a secure shopping cart, but I felt more comfortable paying by Paypal, as I am not familiar with them. The passwords are very reasonably priced.
On the actual Lekala website you then "pay" for your patterns by invoking your password, which is valid for the number of units you purchased. They do not seem to have a particularly secure setup for receiving the password, but since you only ever part with your body measurements, email address and an inexpensive password, you won't lose much even if Lekala suffers a catastrophic security failure.
