 is a line of acrylic bases available in five different sizes to give our most popular bag, purse and tote patterns a sturdy bottom. Bag-E-Bottoms are 1/8" thick clear acrylic, with rounded corners and they are sized to fit our bags perfectly!
To use, create a fabric sleeve and tack it to the inside bottom of your favorite Lazy Girl Designs bag - then insert the Bag-E-Bottoms for a nice sturdy bag base. And better yet, these may fit bags by other designers too!

Lazy Girl Designs is offering a new adventure in bag-making with our newest pattern,
the Summer Tote.
Summer is constructed by fusing two layers of fabric together to create the 'walls' of the bag. We use Steam-A-Seam 2 from The Warm Company to fuse two layers of quilter's cottons to create a canvas-like fabric with beautiful drape and body.
Here, we show Summer in two fun fabrics designed by Laurel Burch. Be sure to select two fabrics with a strong design as shown here. The stripe works beautifully for the tall back pocket, shorter front pocket and handle. We love the look of butterflies soaring all over the cover of Summer. Choose a fun patterned fabric that showcases this large area. The yellow/orange grab tab at the zipper ends are leftover bits of lining fabric. Finish the interior with coordinating fabrics for the lining and pockets.
Summer stands 11" tall by 15" wide across the zip-top. Six outside pockets, up to four inside pockets, fully lined.

Chloe is the first in our line of 'Goddess' patterns and she dreams of being covered in wonderful embellishments. She looks great quilted, too. NOTE: For a variation on the inside pocket, make a small Perfect Pouches #113 without the batting. Sew in place by topstitching close to the edge on both side edges and the bottom edge. This will leave the top edge free, creating a second pocket behind the pouch. If needed, reinforce the lining fabric with some interfacing or an extra piece of fabric. Don’t forget to add something fun to the zipper pull.
