Thank you Deepika and the Moderators for providing a place where we get so much support for sewing from the wonderful members. Thank you for doing your best in trying to keep everyone on this site happy no matter what is discussed! I am glad I don't have that responsibility......

You are very welcome.

Speaking for just myself, if I'm able to help out and contribute something, it's a way of giving back for what I receive here. So much shared information that you keep learning from sewing tips to tools and beyond. It's a good community to participate in and rounds out my RL circles of activity.

I would like to second that. I am glad that subjects such as politics and religion are not allowed to get out of hand. This is a sewing site and not a place to vent your angst about the opinions of others.

Thanks to Deepika and all of the Moderators for a job well done.

I also want to express appreciation. I love having a place online where I can talk about sewing, just sewing.

Add me to this list of grateful sewers. Thanks for keeping the religion and politics out of our sewing room! I received a pm from one of the moderators explaining the use of political persons--they are excluded from this site even as an example of their garments. Thank you !

Add my thanks.

I've been a moderator on another forum for about fifteen years and saw it go from a robust, healthy site to one that is so depleted that I daily expect the owner to close it down. Middle eastern dance is the subject so you can imagine some of the bitter political arguments that raged. Even isolating those "debates" in a separate subforum didn't help. The acrimony drove the non-political away and the meanest mouths finally took their marbles and went elsewhere as well, leaving a beautiful useful site moribund.

I would like to add to that.

Not an easy task by any means but one carried out with respect and dignity for all concerned.

Unfortunately though they often come under fire - might be a good idea if we all step back and ask ourselves "would we want to volunteer for this".

My answer would be a definite "no" as I simply do not have the patience that is so necessary for this job.

So yes indeed - thank you all.

Here here! I don't have the patience either. It wouldn't be long before Deepika would be sending me my walking papers . Even when I get in trouble, they're always patient & not condescending in their tone.

Absolutely, a big THANK YOU!

That would be a big NO. They do a lot more than what is seen I am sure and even though you aren't seeing them it seems like it is being done with a smile and they have to love what they are doing because for the most part it seems as if it is a thankless job. I love it here. A great big thank you to each and everyone of you and your family because it must take time from them as well.
