Is there anyone on Instagram you follow that inspires/informs your sewing?
I'd like to use that app, but don't know who to follow, other than PR.

Oh you're walking into a treasure chest! Most of what I follow on IG is sewing or fashion related.
To find companies, just do a search and type in the name (Simplicity, Burda, McCalls). Here are some ideas
deepika_patternreview
threadsmagazine
moodfabrics
goodbyevalentino
saturdaynightstitch
Also search on hashtags that sewists use:
#sewist
#sewcialist
#isew
#sewing
As you follow more people and like their posts, you'll start getting lists of suggestions.
One of the things I like about IG is that I can follow people for a while and then unfollow if they start posting pictures that don't interest me much.

LifeofJanine is right, this is a treasure chest. The people or companies I follow changes frequently as I get bored with their topics. Also, many people are on IG just to sell their product, whether it is their pattern or fabric line or products on their Etsy store. When there is too much of that from one person I unfollow them. I am currently watching:
Sew4home_diy
Sewingworkshop
Itssoeasytv
Angelawolffashion
Alabamachanin
Sew4home_diy has (almost) daily free projects with great tutorials. On itssoeasytv you can watch videos of their shows and see which patterns they use. Angela Wolf has good tutorials. Sewingworkshop is for good inspiration and patterns and Alabama Chanin is to see their unique projects. Pamkittymorning has some real good ideas for quilts. I will be watching this thread to see what other people follow to get some new ideas for myself.
