Do you refer back to your older reviews? (Moderated by Sharon1952)

A pair of my me-made pajama pants are starting to wear out: the fabric is getting small holes in the casing area but otherwise the pajamas look pretty good. I couldn't remember when I made them so I looked up the review which was dated December 2007. 9 1/2 years of use is pretty good! It occurred to me that I have looked to my pattern reviews other times to figure out when I made them--sometimes because I knew I made something for a particular event and wanted to remember exactly what year it took place! I don't need a memory when I have Pattern Review!
I can't be the only one who looks back at their old reviews! How do you use your own reviews?

My reviews aren't that old because I've only been sewing again for 2 years, but yes - I look back! Just today I looked back at a top I made last summer. This particular time I was looking at what size I sewed, and if I made any comments about fitting.
It really is a great historical resource!

I'll look back at mine whenever I'm pulling out an old pattern. I take a look to see any notes I made about adjustments, and I things I would avoid in the future.
It's also just neat to be able to see all of the things I've made in one place. (Well, the majority of what I make at least ends up on here

I just check today to find out what size I had made previously without having to go to my pattern and find out.
Now I'm sewing Lutterloh, without provided instructions, I am making significant notes on my construction order and methods so I can refer to them later and they may help someone else.
So yes I use my own reviews quite a bit :)

Every time I sew a pattern a second time, whenever I feel forgetful about a technique I described in a previous review, when I use certain fabrics I know I used in a previous review, to name a few! I used to write notes all over my pattern instructions and/or pattern pieces in the old days. Now I keep a pad of paper and my phone for pics as I'm sewing and try my best to detail anything for my reviews that would help not only others, but myself as well. PR is a wonderful way to chronicle your efforts, pattern alterations, fitting problems and solutions, and acts as a personal secretary reminding you of what you did "last time you made this pattern". Long live PR! OMG I hope so or my sewing diary would be lost....oh, except I have Flickr for a backup. Always keep a backup everyone!

I use my old reviews as an online sewing journal and have often referred to them. Haven't been reviewing as much lately and should remedy that!
