I am posting this again because I think it got lost in the crowd yesterday. My hope is that maybe Saturday you can take a moment with your coffee to run through this short presentation--it is a wonderful introduction to the history of the fabric used in Sari

Thank you! Just had a quick lunch-break glance at the article. I will plan to read it tomorrow (Saturday).It's very timely for me as I am in the middle of sewing 4 robes that I am making from pre-owned silk saris (lined with cotton batiste).

wow Thanks so much for sharing this :). Being Indian,I had never seen this many varieties and pics and descriptions of sari. Though we wear it and have been using it for generations.
