I'm traveling to Austin for a convention - we'll be at AT&T Hotel & Conference Center, 1900 University Ave, Austin, TX 78705
I know Austin is a sewing and fabric destination (Pattern Review was there several years ago!)
Are there fabric stores I MUST see - I do like both quilt and apparel fabrics. Are any of the fabric stores close to where I will be?
thanks!

-Bernette serger model 234, in my household since late 1980's.

Thanks sravanthi. Unfortunately the Made by Dana list is from 2011 and the three fabric stores she lists in Austin are not in business anymore, although the last one Fanny's may have re-opened as Bolt for interior design fabrics. Thanks for trying for us.
Any other suggestions folks?

I bought an orange cotton/elastan fabric with a kind of montrea pattern in it like it was beeingdone by an iron, sounds weird but is very nice, then I bought a black cotton jersey embroidered with matt sequenses
