useful, frivolous or downright useless accessories (Moderated by Sharon1952, EleanorSews)

I'm about to pick up my first serger at the store - a Babylock Imagine!! I got the fall special (carry case & workbook), but I know the sales person will try to sell me a bunch of other stuff, including a boxful of thread cones, extra feet, etc. I don't really know what I'm doing other than writing a big check - can you help steer me straight?
Which accessories are worth the money and I should not leave the store without them? Which are fun and fairly useful, but I could pick them up later? And which are utterly pointless and only good for her commissions?
I think I do want the ruffler foot. What else should I ask for or avoid?
Thanks for the input!!

I bought the Babylock Imagine myself last year and I love this serger. I had a Brother serger for about 12 years and it finally wore out. I didn't buy any extras for my machine. I find the ease of threading and operating this serger is enough to make me happy. I guess it all depends on what you will be using your serger for vs your regular machine for. I essentially use my serger for seam finishing and home dec. Maybe someone else on this board has more experience using stitich and foot options and can better answer your question. I just wanted to tell you that if you have any comparison experience with sergers, you will just love this machine. Happy serging.

I got the Imagine a couple years ago and love it! I only have the foot it came with and am completely happy. I don't do alot of creative things with my machines (only fashion sewing for myself) so I really just need the basics. If they carry good thread cones, then I would stock up on those in basic, blendable colors.
