I tried with Ritz, anthting better? (Moderated by Deepika, Sharon1952)

OK as many of you know my passion is to copy ready to wear unique styles. I want to make this vest and found after much searching really close print type. But its too silvery. I dyed it with black Ritz in a huge pot on stove , simmered. Came out a bit darker, blotchy. I dont mind the blotchy actually as its similar to the print. Any better way to dye so it will "take" or a futile dream LOL

This is my first post. I dye everything. Natural and synthetics but honestly most all of my textiles are found in thrift stores. No clue the content so...Dharma Trading to the rescue. They are the motherload of the art of dying, overdying and tutorials. I love their synthetic dyes! RIT also has synthetic dyes, great for curtains, something that won’t be washed much. Dharma Trading is 100% awesome 100% of the time. Amie
