I am making two Wonder Woman swimsuits that need to be in Texas by 22nd of June. I don’t have time to order emblems on line. (I think)
Has anyone ever made one from scratch? Do they have shiny gold trim at Joann’s?

Of course, they got lots of shiny gold trim at Joanns! The place is full of that stuff. They might even have some pre-made emblems there too even. They also got shiny black glittery swim suit lycra, and quite a few, different kind of bolts of shiny gold swim suit lycra too even. 1/8th of a yard each might or might not be tall enough to make them, but 1/4 of a yard of each would be, with lots left over. Normally I might embroider something like that, but if for a kids real swimsuit I might just just use wonder under on the back, and cut the whole thing out of black lycra, then layer the gold parts on top with the glittery gold lycra. That probably would be softer and less scratchy. Or they might even have some wonder woman printed fabric there too, and maybe you could use something from that?

I know I have seen a WW applique at Wal-Mart in the sewing area. It's been a while, but not forever ago, so you may find one there. This is in Norman. But it also comes up on Amazon if that's any help.

Because Joann's has all those new Simplicity DC comics work out wear patterns in stock in the stores, like this one:

I thought they would also have the matching appliques and elastics stuff at Joann's and right on top of the pattern drawers even, but I did not actually see that there, but it could be in there someplace else, as they are pretty large stores.
