on asymmetric pattern piece (Moderated by Deepika, Sharon1952)

I have this pattern
I sew it (someone may read my complains about twin needle trouble I had, it was when hemming this dress)
It turned out that the cowl neckline is too deep to my taste and to my flat chest. So far I am trying to pin it with safety pins in attempt not to show my (lovely!) bra to anyone in sight (it's not so bad but the bra is definitively peeking).
The pattern piece for cowl is No. 5, is asymmetric, as seen below (and I don't like much the way it is done, in two piece with seam on the edge, it isn't so soft).

I searched how to raise the neckline for the cowl but I'm afraid to do it for the asymmetric pice like this.
I'll write review in short time, I just need someone to take the pictures.

That pattern does have a very plunging neckline!
Have you tried taking out a wedge from the pattern?
An upright wedge with its wide part at the neckline, centered evenly around the centre mark.
The point of the wedge at the middle mark at the bottom of the pattern piece.
So the wedge is like an upside-down triangle, with its short end running along the current neckline.
Cut both legs of the wedge.
Slide the resulting two pattern pieces towards each other to close the wedge gap, and tape together.
Even out the neckline with a smooth line.
(I tried to post a sketch but couldn’t figure out how to do that.)

I think I would pin two darts from the neckline each pointing toward the bust apex and see if this tightens up the cowl.
