I'm fitting pants and have pretty much gotten the muslin to fit well. My problem is that often my pants pull at the knee when I walk or go up stairs. I'm wondering if this is just a case of needing to add more room around above the knee or is there a design element that I'm just missing. Do I add more room to just the front of the legs? I like pants to fit closely for a slim line so I take them in on the sides and inseams as much as possible but I'd still like to be able to move.
I tried looking at past threads about pants fitting but didn't find much to answer my question. Maybe that's because it's obvious to everyone else...just not me!! 🤓

Try pinning out a tuck across the front of your thigh to see if that makes a difference. You may just need to change the angle of the pant leg.

Try pulling up the CF waist and holding it while you're walking. Any difference?
Try pulling up the entire waist and holding it while walking? Difference?
I typically find that this is a too-long rise or a crotch that's set too far from the body for the close fit of the leg.
