Couldn’t find an answer on google...what does this arrow mean ? See 2 pics

I’ve quickly laid out one piece of the pattern, and will obviously lay it all out properly on the table later. Was just wondering if the arrow on the fabric relates to the orientation of the pattern?? I assume it does.

I’m pretty sure it’s a directional arrow.
So that when you cut all your pieces and sew them together you won’t have any upside down pieces. Like a nap layout.

Possibly as it’s a power mesh the arrow indicates grain layout , as the best stretch for around the body is the crossgrain.

Just guessing though.

I think it refers to the direction/orientation of the print and may also indicate the pattern repeat. Prints like this may not have an obvious repeat to them but something to consider in cutting layout.

The arrow points to the top of the print, so your pattern pieces should all have the neck lines at the top of the arrow - as laid out in the photo your pattern piece is upside down. That looks like the kimono tee, only two pattern pieces, front and back should face in the same direction. Hope that makes sense!
