Has anyone else started this one? (Moderated by Sharon1952)

I'm hoping someone else has got this pattern and is working on it now - I seem to recall that there was mention of others working on it but can't remember who.
I made quite a few muslins and thought I was right to go... well my dress became a skirt and I'm back to square one.
I really want to persevere as I love this dress but I have hit a couple of snags that I hope to get some PR help with.

Hi Angela, I have this pattern but haven't started on it yet. What problems are you having and can you post pictures? That would be the best way to get help with fitting.

Thanks for your reply.
Its not so much a fitting issue (although I did have some of those - my size 14 top did not fit the size 14 skirt - I think that the drafting is a big out of whack but I worked around that.
One of the main issues is that I just couldn't understand the instructions, where it says to apply the bodice drapes to the bodice mount. The instructions say to have "WRONG SIDES TOGETHER ..... matching notches and re-distributing the gathers where necessary". I don't have notches for one thing and for other I just can't work out how having wrong sides together works.
The other instruction that has me confused is where it says to join front bodice panels together using a 5/8 seam with just few vertical stitches. I could almost work this out on the muslin (with the binding) but with the binding I just don't get it.
Sorry for the long post.
Hope you are able to help me.
By the way. The skirt - as a skirt is a very nice shape, needed a bit of finagling at the waist but isn't too bad considering.

I don't have this dress, but I have read through the directions on a different HP dress that has a bodice mount. My understanding is that the bodice mount is like a lining, so having the wrong sides together is correct. I can't help on the other issues, but at least something is resolved.
