I can never find boots that are long enough for my leg. Do any of you tall girls have a suggestion?

Have you tried www.zappos.com?

Ordering shoes or boots over the internet sounds impossible but it can work and they have a 365 day return policy. And they pay for the return shipping (and it's free shipping in the first place)! I know quite a few people here order from them and can attest to their customer service - as I can. I just returned a pair of shoes I bought last March. No problem as long as you've only tried them on and not worn them.

Thanks Lori, I looked on their site a bit, but couldn't find an easy way to narrow down the search for ones with a long leg. I'm sure they must have some. I'll have to look some more.

I LOVE zappos. I buy all of my shoes from Zappos. If you can't find it on Zappos, you're not going to find it.

How about the catalong company, Long Elegant Legs? They have clothes, not sure about boots.

Wow. Zappo's has a lot of stuff, but they're pricey! Or maybe I'm just cheap. Or possibly both. It's fun to look at though!

... but what do I know?

jemgirlca, how tall are you? I am 5'10" but my legs aren't that long--they are proportionate with my upper body.

I don't know your shoe size, but if it is larger than 9.5 Medium, you may want to try designershoes.com. They have great shoes, but they are for larger/hard to fit feet. I am a perfect 9.5M, so they can't help me, but it's a great site.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm 5'9" but it looks like a need a "shank length" of about 18" (I didn't know what that is until this morning- the distance measured along the inseam) and it seems that most are around 16". I wear a size 8-1/2 so it's not hard to find, but on Zappos, I only saw one pair with a long length. Most of the comments were from tall girls that had been looking for long boots. I think they are really meant to go over your knee. I might have to try next time I go to the US. They don't ship up to Canada.

I will take a look at some of the other suggested sites, though...

I just found two pairs of long boots on eBay which I purchased for ridiculously low prices. Most of the postings gave specifics about "height of shaft" as well as heel height, so I would think it would be pretty easy for you to sort through the listings. I too am tall with long legs, and found ones that suit me.

....Zappos doesn't ship to Canada....

I am sorry jemgirlca, I forgot about that. Good luck with your search. Shopping for shoes is always fun. :)
