I’m sewing the Closet Core Peitra pants. I shortened the rise by about 1/2 inch everywhere because I didn’t like how high the rise was when I made the shorts in a muslin. But now the front is about 1 1/2 inches longer than the back once you get to the top. The knee notches match up, as does the hip notch. The inseam seams match perfectly. I think I sewed the pocket and side front correctly because the notches match. I looked at the pattern and I did cut it correctly (like I didn’t cut the wrong size)
Did in shorten the rise incorrectly? How do I correct this and not throw away these pants? Luckily these are loose pants and might ok not matching up all the way.
Maybe I just match up the waist and not worry about the notches and get the hems even when I do that?
I’m a beginner and these are my first pants.
Also, this is my first post and I can’t figure out how to post a photo. If someone can help with that as well, that’d be great

Could you have subtracted from the back rise twice? Is there a reason you did this before making a muslin?

I would add a back yoke to fix the issue. If you try to ease the front side seams to the back from waist to crotch, it's likely to be pretty unsightly, and it won't tell you anything about the fit.

I only subtracted from the back one once at the lengthen/shorten line in the pattern. I did it the same for each of the pattern pieces. I think what I will do is take out all my stitching in the front and shorten that. It pains me to do that. I should have been checking things as I go.
Since my first post I’ve basted it all together with the hem as the uneven part and it doesn’t look horrible. I think I will give it tomorrow to decide what to do and not rip out all the front stitching.

Can you lay the pattern pieces out on the pants and see where you went wrong? Knowing that might work to show you how to fix it.

I recently had that happen to me and what I quickly realized was I did rise adjustment on the wrong side I did it accidentally on the side seam rather than in the crotch seam. Hope that makes sense is it possible you could have done that
