I often get confused with difference in cutting of shoulder (width) of sleeveless vs sleeved bodice.

Can some one correct me if wrong
Sleeveless - shoulder width is big wide to cover sohulder
Sleeves - shoulder width is small, so sleeve can set/sewn in and sit on shoulder

That's correct, but the bigger difference is at the underarm. On sleeveless, the bodice should come up & out a little extra for coverage. All of these differences are minimal, like 1/4", & are kind of a matter of taste (especially with the shoulder width question).

@ciaraxyerra - thank a lot for clarifying and bringing 1/4 '' into discussion.
Otherwise i was going to cut my bodice much more probly 1 inch.

I have a tunic + that came with attachable sleeves and i was always wondering why its shoulders are so bad ( that it always shows bra -strap) and armhole is too big that shows full bra on side ..so realized it needed sleeves attached and did not mean to keep sleeveless...
