I was gifted some felted wool, and as I was sewing today, I noticed a crease from storage. I am thinking that I would steam with a pressing cloth and then use an emery board if needed to restore the nap. But would love any advice!

Felted wool has been through aggressive agitation, moisture, heat, and all sorts of abuse--there is probably not much you can do to hurt it. I would steam it in my dryer with a wet towel or steam cycle on high and see if that gets out the crease.

You can try spraying the crease area with a mix of 50% water/50%distilled white vinegar, then steam press with a pressing cloth. This works to get out even the most stubborn wrinkles and creases.

Stirwatersblue and Makelings have great suggestions. I would likely begin with tossing the felted wool fabric and a damp towel in a low-to-medium dryer to see if that would be the fix.
