What ended up happening with your sewing class? (Moderated by Deepika, EleanorSews)

I was just looking at some old topics to find something, and ran across the one about your over-the-top sewing teacher. Last I remember, you'd gone to two classes, and weren't sure if you were going to stick with it (the second was better than the first, but had drag racing in the background, and other wondeful issues, as I recall).
So how did the rest of it go? Did you walk away, or keep up with it? Did you get a sewing buddy out of it from the beginner?
Can you tell I have no personal life to speak of that I'm interested in how a class several hundred miles away went?

Lori hasn't been posting much lately, and I miss her. I'd like to know, too, how she survived the sewing class.
Come on, Lori - how did it go?

I've PM'd Lori many times. The last time she replied was 2 weeks ago. She had kept taking the classes. The instructor knew her stuff, but her personality had a lot to be desired. Lori said she was learning a lot from this woman. I do not know anything about the Beginner in the first class.
Lori told me she would be busy for a while and would keep sewing and learning. I wish I knew how many more classes she still has to go.
I also have enjoyed her saga, and have asked her many times to do a weekly update, so we can enjoy her learning as much as she does. It is such fun to read about others learning and developing their skills.

Currently working on a boys quilt. Sized 40 x 40 inches. It has chickens, chicken eggs, cows, fish, sea life, afield with water, Dachshunds, mini sailboats, and many colorful other fabrics. The blocks are a 4 x 4 finished size, so many of them are needed.
This my 4th quilt in 7 months.
Bernina 630, Bernina embroidery module, Pfaff 2036, Bernina 1200DA serger, Unique Sewing Cabinet 450L
Gardening info: zone 8 standard map and zone 6 Sunset map

Hi guys! I feel so flattered--somebody is thinking of me.
I am sorry I missed this post.
Sewing classes ended last week. I stuck with it, and I am glad I did. I am still deciding if I want to re-enroll for another 10 weeks of classes. I think I may in the Fall since I have a lot of stuff going this spring and summer. On the other hand, I think I can teach myself a lot of things--but I may not have the discipline to do so. I like the structure a sewing class can offer. My instructor was a little kooky to say the least, but I had fun.
I made two skirts and a button-up Simplicity blouse. They all came out pretty good! I need to review them this week.

Sounds like a pretty useful class! I'm glad it turn out to be a waste, even though the instructor has problems. Good for you for sticking with it!
