I have this idea to make jeans for myself that would hopefully fit better than store bought jeans. They all seem to fit fine in the hips then when it comes to the waist/back of my jeans they gap in the back and sometimes show my underwear and I don't want that to happen.

Do you think its possible to make jeans that wouldn't gap? Would I have to use elastic to fix the gappage you think?

I think that a contour waistband is the solution. I have the same notion about making jeans myself, but I am kind of in an information gathering phase and haven't really started yet.
