Fabricmart has cotton stretch drill satin for $4.99 in nice colors. I'm not familiar with "drill satin". Can someone enlighten me?

I'll venture guess so if you know for sure, please jump in. Drill and satin are both weaves, drill is twill weave similar to denim and satin is a tightly woven fabric with long warp yarns that produces a sheen, so they are talking about 2 different weaves that conflict. They probably meant the fabric has a twill weave with a satin sheen.

My grandmother taught me to sew when I was 10, and I've been sewing ever since.

Bingo, Diane, that was a very intelligent guess and thanks. I called Fabricmart who kindly went to feel the fabric. She said it is a nice bottomweight fabric with a slight sheen.
