From the notification center if you turn this setting on, I'll send you an e-mail when new podcasts are added to the site so you won't have to keep checking the Podcast page.

I hate to appear stupid, but what is a podcast? Before you start laughing at me, keep in mind that I still use dial-up and Win95.

Sherril, no question is stupid. In fact it was stupid of me to assume that everyone knew about this feature.

Here's some history: a few months ago I added a new feature to patternreview. Audio versions of the tips. MaryT e-mailed me that she would like to convert the tips to mp3 files. So she is the 'official' PR voice in the tips you'll listen to.

Podcast is basically an audio program which websites allow you to download to your mp3 players either by subscription or by direct download (which is what we do at PR) so you can listen to your favorite shows on the go. Its just like a radio show...

For more info on podcast, please click here

Hope this helps.

In reply to Sherril Miller
Yay Sherril! You make me proud -- everyone else (it seems like) knows all this stuff. All those folks w iPods in their ears are listening to music, books, shows, and podcasts. Podcasts are "radio shows" that folks do (usuallly) from their homes on any subject they want. They play music, make jokes, interview artists, read the PR tips, etc.

I listen to the PR podcasts, as well as some on design, art, and sewing.

It's another bit of new technology you CAN live without!!
