A good friend gave me some OOP Vogue patterns that she scored at the thrift store.

One of them recommends either matte jersey or rabbit hair jersey. I know what matte jersey is, but what is rabbit hair jersey? I'm envisioning some sort of fuzzy angora type knit - is that right?

I ask only out of pure curiosity - I'm thinking of sewing the pattern, but I would pick a suitable jersey knit.

Suo ergo maledicto

Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary. - Steve Jobs

That would be my guess, although not as fuzzy as true angora. Sometimes fur fibers are added when spinning the yarn. I have a piece of sweater knit like that.

Oh, memories! I once had a rabbit hair sweater. It felt wonderful, but can you spell s-h-e-d??? ......and this was way before lint rollers.

When I inherited my MIL's stash last year, she had a piece of TDF wool/goat hair and it felt like cashmere - which really surprised me!

Makes perfect sense! True Cashmere is a goat wool that originally came from Central Asia.

I am going for a level of perfection that is only mine... Most of the pleasure is in getting that last little piece perfect...Inspiration is for amateurs. The rest of us just keep showing up and doing the work.
