It's a burda young fashion #8038 pattern. I am trying to sew a hem on the bottom of the triangle top to run the tie through.
the bottom of the triangle pattern is slightly curved which makes it hard to hem evenly. The fabric I am using is spandex. I am new to actually sewing with a pattern. I have sewed skirts, made curtains, pillows. I learned from my mom playing with scraps and using a seam ripper.
I feel sewing will be my new hobbie I really love it.
Thanks for your help!

technical drawing:

Just turn under the hem, leaving a wide enough tunnel to thread the tie through, and use a short zig-zag stitch along the top of the hemline. Since it is spandex it should not ravel so you don't need to turn it under twice.

And don't be afraid to use a washable glue stick to hold down the hem temporarily.
