Hi,
I was chatting to a lady who is starting her own"sewing musuem" kind of, and she brought along quite a few machine accessorires, most I identified their purpose. But one mistifies me- it looks like a brooch, about 3 inches long, with a sharp pin inside, on the back of the metal was the inscribtion "The Uzithook" made in england. Someone gave her a old treadle machine, and there was a box of 10 of the items in it. any body any ideas?
googled but couldn,t find a thing.

She could try sending a picture of it to the people at Needlebar.org. They love to identify unique gadgets. I send a picture of an odd looking item that I found in a treadle I bought and it turned out to be a pipe tamper. What it was doing in the treadle is still a mystery.
