Perhaps some of you may have this problem also. When I walk the legs of my shorts rise up in the crotch area. I really hate that. I saw a magazine that will sell you something to put in your shorts to make it not do that. (I also thought I would see what they make and make it myself) Well I lost the magazine. So if anyone knows what you can put in shorts to keep them from crawling between you legs you will have my undying gratitude.

Are you thinking about these No-Riders patches from Clotilde? NAYY, of course.

I read somewhere that shorts and pants ride up if the crotch seam is too long ie the horizontal section of the crotch seam is too far below the body.

If you make your own shorts, you might be able to alter the pattern so any new shorts wouldn't ride up.

It's a custom-made designer original. I made it myself.

They ride up if your "stride" is longer than the built in stride alowance built into the pant.

I was thinking of adding a little bit of ridgeline to the inseam to keep mine down.

What is Ridgeline? I would like to get some. I had looked at boning like for bras but quickly changed my mine

Did you perhaps mean Rigilene? It's a type of flexible plastic boning.

I read that and thought 'Ow!!'
I've read that it's mostly a fitting problem having to do with crotch length/depth...but it's been too long since I read that for me to quickly recall exactly what it was. If I could find my copy of Bezina's Fast Fit, I'd check there, but it seems to be AWOL at the moment.

In any case, MNSHO is that some tedious iterations w/muslins would be a lot more, um, comfortable in the long run than Rigilene (lightweight but fairly stiff sew-through boning) in the inseams.

Ow!

I think inner thigh chub will cause the problem too. If my shorts are long, going past the chub, then they don't ride up.

It is the inner thighs rubbing together that makes mine rise to the ocassion. and I am constantly pulling them down. I will look up ridgeline so I can order some.

If you are knock-kneed the inseams will tend to ride up sometimes. And/or it can happen when the thighs are muscular.
