I've seen a number of people make reference to shaping the CB seam around the waist. What does this mean? The CB seam is usually straight, right? How would one shape a CB seam.

They are taking it in at the waist, for a more feminine shape. You can do this, but the taper needs to be smooth and gradual, so there's no bumps.
