I am needing to alter some swimsuit tops to make the bust cover better and maybe add some support underneath. What would be best to add to the band at the bottom of top of the suit to make it support a little better? And any tips on adding to the cups would be much appreciated! btw these are 2 piece suits - its only the tops I need to alter. Thanks in advance! Cheryl

Unless you have some fabric that is an exact match, I'm not sure you could add to them. They will have been sewn on a serger and there won't be much of a seam allowance left. If it's a print, perhaps you could find a solid that matches one of the colors and cut a crescent for the bottom half of the cup, but it would look odd and probably still not fit right, as the top is probably sized for a woman who wears a "b" cup bra. (Most RTW clothing is.)
It would be far easier to either make a whole new top from scratch and do a full bust adjustment to the pattern beforehand *, or to look for ready-made swim separates that come in larger bra cup sizes.
(*Full bust adjustments to patterns are a common topic on this message board, do a search and you'll find dozens of suggestions.)
