Oops. I dropped my bobbin and a bunch of thread unraveled. I picked it up and yanked off the unravel with my hand. Now I can't find the start of the thread. It's black thread. That'll teach me to always use scissors.
Any tips for finding the start again?
Thanks
Suz

I'm not sure how to help you, but it sure sounds frustrating. Black thread at night is not fun! If it were me, I'd just rewind a new bobbin and not waste a lot of time trying to find the end on this one. It's not worth the frustration.

I second the motion -- not worth the hassle, start fresh with a new bobbin.
If you want to re-use the bobbin and no reasonable amount of picking has freed the thread, I'd take a small razor or sharp knife and slice into the bobbin thread to remove all the thread.

OKay, you were both right. I used a seam ripper to get an edge and just unraveled it. I thought maybe there was a trick to rescue it.
