I want to make some quick sleeveless a-line jumpers for my two little girls in some extra cord that I have. I found a pattern that is uber easy but it uses bias tape for the armhomes and neckline. I would rather line it with a contrasting fabric but I got a bit confused about the zipper. I'm assuming that I line it like I would any other bodice but what do I do about the back zipper? Do I treat the lining and the main fabric as one piece and sew the zipper to both, or do I just attact it to the main fabric and then sew the lining on top of it?
Any help would be very appreciated! Thanks.

On the lined garments that I've made with zippers, the lining edge that goes along the zipper is pressed then hand slip stitched into place after the zipper is sewn in.
