I was given a plastic milk carton case full of old crafting patterns. They were sitting in someone's garage for a long period of time and are quite dusty and funky. They are mostly country crafts type patterns. I would never use them, and, of course, can't bear to toss them. I am not willing to ebay them and would like to give them away. Does anyone think Craigslist would work?

Maybe you could donate them to your church. Might be great for fundraisers or craft shows?

Hi mastdenman,

You might call a local senior center to see if they might be interested. The local one here has a craft shop, where seniors make crafty items to sell, to benefit the center.

Good luck!

What the YMCA or Girls Inc? They might make a good summer project for the girls.

My first thought was toss them if they smell bad!

My second thought was use them to start fires in your fireplace or when you go camping.

Third was to use them for an art project, like a collage or for papier mache, with sewing as the theme for the artwork. That is something kids (any age!) would love to do. Maybe a preschool or camp or daycare or elementary art teacher or activities director for a nursing home would like them?

Offer them on your local freecycle group, if you have one - freecycle.org . I've gotten rid of all kinds of things through freecycle without problems.
