I have a friend traveling to Germany. Besides gummi peaches and kinder surprise eggs, I want to get some of the infamous shaping tape used in BWOF. You know, the one with the loops that you use on curves.

But, he knows nothing about sewing and I only know what it's called in English. I'm hoping a German speaker (or somone with a German BWOF) can tell me what it's called in German.

Thanks!!

Hi Cidell, I'm not exactly sure which Vilene tape you are after (there are a few of them) but have you checked their website? - Vlieseline

Look under Products then either under Bulk Packaging or Pre-Pack Range. The good part is the website is in English and German so once you have found what you want in English you can find the German name. You can also print off a picture of what you want to give to your friend to make it even easier. HTH

ETA: I forgot to say on the pre-packaged range it always has both the German and English names. (You can see what I'm talking about on the product photo). The boxes include both languages.

Cidell, I was smiling wickedly to myself when I wrote earlier as I just knew you would end up wanting more than one. I have a large stash of Vilene stay tapes, in all different sorts and colours, which I use a lot so you definitely need at least three.
