I just got my Threads today and I was so disappointed because the front cover was ripped up. Have they stopped putting on the outer protective cover?

I suggest you call or email the subscription department and tell them that your issue arrived with a torn/damaged cover. In the past when I have received damaged magazines, the subscription department has either sent out a replacement issue (if I asked for one) or they have extended my subscription. It's been a while since I've received damaged magazines (several years), so I don't know if this is still common practice. Oh, yes, this was with magazines from Conde Nast publishers. I think that Taunton is much smaller and handles things in-house.
