Hey ladies. If your husband had a day in the kitchen all day and you were banned from the kitchen, what would you want him to serve you and where would you tell him to get ideas?

My husband likes to "concoct" in the kitchen, which can be scary or delicious. However:
Breakfast: flour tortillas with scrambled eggs, cheese and chorizo sausage
Lunch: Buffalo chicken salad with baby spinach
Supper (that's "Dinner" if you're not familiar!): Spaghetti with meat sauce
These are meals that he cooks on a semi-regular basis and is good at. He also does laundry!

If I had a husband, which luckily I don't, I would direct him towards my entire collection of Nigella Lawson's books and tell him to pick something, adapt it to be vegetarian, and go for it. I have yet to meet a Nigella recipe I don't like.
At some point in the day, I would be hoping the Instant Chocolate Mousse from her Nigella Express book would be served. If I could only have one thing before I died, my last meal would be that instant chocolate mousse.
If he was challenged in the culinary department, I think I could cope with eating that for breakfast, dinner and tea.

Chocolate is the answer... what was the question again?

Well, I know what I'd get, he has 3 'recipes'
1. porridge
2. plain omelette (he's good at this, but manages to create a burnt fat smell which lingers in the house for two weeks)
3. steak
I forgot the take bottle opener and open the wine/beer one, that makes 4

I think I would survive such a day - breakfast is eggs on toast with a little ham and cheese, lunch would be a sandwich - probably ham and cheese again and dinner would be tortellini and pasta sauce (pre made, quick cook style, of course) and maybe a little ice cream. If I'm lucky, I'll get a bit of lettuce in the sandwich and if it is red sauce for the pasta I won't die of scurvy right away....

Reservations for the nearest restaurant!

We learned long ago that on his night 'to cook' we go to a restaurant, which works fine for me.

Us to! If my husband was cooking for the day we would have:
Breakfast - cereal and coffee (he does make coffee every morning)
Lunch - grilled cheese and tomato soup
Dinner - reservations - I might even get to pick the restaurant!

My husband is a great cook. My only wish would be that he clean it up all by himself.

Indian food!! More specifically Chana Masla (I'm making this for lunch =)
Seriously, whichever recipes you choose, I'd make sure he was clear on all the terms (simmer, mince, sauté, etc.) so he doesn't end up boiling something for 40 minutes which should simmer. If it were a longer recipie, I'd tell him to measure out and prepare all the ingredients before starting the actual cooking process.

My husband does most of the cooking. I like to bake. When we have people over and on holidays, he does most of the cooking.
People alway suggest that he try out for Top Chef because he's such a good cook.
