I am making my daughter a practice swim suit for her swim team, I have made this pattern before with this same fabric. With my regular sewng machine. I want to use my serger this time. What is the best thread for 4-way stretch Rough moleskin Cont:87% nylon, 13% spandex. Weight:apx 10 oz/sq.

Great sewing is knowing exactly, what your machine will do.

I've made my daughter several swimsuits using normal Maxilock with no problem. I did try using wooly nylon in the looper but fussing to get the tension/stitch the way I wanted it took a long time. She has never commented that Maxilock is a problem (and trust me she would complain if it were).

I would use woolly nylon in the loopers since you need a good deal of stretch w/ a bathing suit. We have the same serger and I use it all the time on my knits w/ no tension problems. Takes only a slight adjustment to get it right.
