Ordering parts for an old Kenmore (Moderated by Sharon1952, EleanorSews)

I have a Kenmore 38512490 sewing machine that is about twenty years old. What is in the accessory kit? The parts site does not tell you. It looks like it is several feet and other items. Anyone know? I have not used this old machne and I am sending it in for service. It is going to quilt! I hope....if I can figure out how to order feet for it.

Do you have a Sears store that you can visit and see the accessory kit? They have several types, i.e., there is a quilting kit and another with various feet. A trip to the store is a good idea if you can't get the information you need on the website.

The best and cheapest way to get new feet for your Kenmore is ebay. I buy them that way all the time for the kenmores that I refurbish and sell locally. I have information on how to use all the feet as well and would be happy to send you a copy of the cards that show what all the feet are for and how to use them with your machine. I love vintage kenmore sewing machines. PM me if you would like more information on finding those feet. Sears parts is crazy expensive. I never order from them anymore.
