I bought some designs from momo dini designs, I stitched them out on my pfaff 2170 and had heaps of trouble with bobbin thread showing through, I haven't had this problem with other designs so I thought it was the design rather than the machine. To get tension right I had to lower top tension to .25 and set machine speed to medium. When I stitched the same design out on my brother 750D, I had no problem didn't have to adjust anything. I thought the brother stitch out much nicer as well.

Has this happened to anyone else? Is it the machine or the designs? Are some designs geared to particular machines?

Everything I have stiched from momo dini has been great, no problems at all. Have you stitched a completely different design on both machines? How does the Pfaff do with other designs? I'm wondering if it may just be time for a good cleaning and oiling? When was the last time the Pfaff had a tune-up?

In reply to Big Dog
I noticed the problem with the pfaff when stitching out the tiger designs cd, and took it into service thinking it must be the machine. This is the first thing I've stitched out on the pfaff since service, the service people are pretty reputable dealers so that led me back to thinking some designs just stitch out differently - even though it makes no sense that they should. I am going to try a different design on the pfaff and see how I go. Thanks
