Hi, I'm looking for waistband elastic for two purposes:

I'm trying to get the sort of wide non-roll elastic that appears to also be very soft, and which is currently popular at the top of yoga pants, and stretch/workout pants.  It appears to be about 2 inches wide.

I would also like to know what kind of elastic to use for my  5 yr old daughter's 21" waist, which would be nice and flexible, without twisting or rolling.

I looked at JoAnns, but it's hard to tell how their elastic will behave once installed.  Their non-roll elastic appears to be a bit stiff and bulky.

Thank you!

I really like the elastic that The Sewing Place carries - the type that is recommended for Loes Hinse and Textile Studio patterns.   You can stitch through it, and also you can trim it to make it narrower if you need to.  I like the fact that it is not bulky and that it is soft enough to use in pjs and yet has some body. If you stitch through it be sure to steam afterward.

I haven't figured out yet how to do the hyperlink. The url is:
