Need guidance on local sources (Moderated by Sharon1952)

A good friend is heading to London next week and offered to bring back any of the European pattern magazines she can find. I'm hoping for guidance from the PR community --- what vendors in London carry BWOF, Patrones, Ottobre, Knip Mode, or any of the others.
Thanks in advance for your help.

2012 : starting stash 386, net additions 206, used 164, ending stash 428...I'm never going to get in front of this pile of fabric!

I'm not in London now but I used to live there. Odd as it sounds, I often had better luck with the smaller newsagents. The magazines might be out of date by a few months but they'd be there. Also, I could sometimes find BWOF at the newsagents (WHSmith for example) at the railway stations.
If you like crossstitch or general craft magazines, the UK as a much better selection than the US (IMHO) so you may want to ask her to get some of those.
Good luck to your friend - I hope her search is successful for your sake.

Hopefully squirrellypoo sees this.
You can contact her through her blog Fehrtrade. I've been following for a while, and apparently she's an American living in London, who sews from BWOF, Patrones and Knipmode quite a bit.

Thanks, I just posted to her blog --- the most recent entry is some wonderful information about some new stuff in KnipMode. I sure hope my friend is successful.

You need R D Franks at 5, Winsley Street, London W1W 8HG, they do lots of fashion magazine, trade pubilications, sewing magazines, books, not open Saturdays

RD Franks will definitely have BWOF and the Marfy catalogue (if they've sold out of BWOF, there's a branch of Borders very close by on Oxford Street which has it). They sometimes also have La Mia Boutique, as do Oxford News which is on Oxford Street. I've never found Patrones in a newsagent, unfortunately, or Knipmode.

I love Pattern Review -- I mean this is a valuable resource! I passed the info along to my friend, and thank all of you for helping me help her to score some new pattern magazines for me.
